LEGO 60454 Holiday Camper Van Review

Up for review today is LEGO City Holiday Camper Van. This is pretty much an updated and enhanced version of the previously released Holiday Camper Van from several years ago (which itself was an improvement on LEGO 7639). This one has more pieces, is larger, and is better — LEGO essentially doubled the piece count over the 2021 version without making the van feel oversized.

What you get in the box

This is one of my favorite new sets, and it can be put together by young children. There isn't anything particularly tough about the build, but it is well thought out, and uses some fun techniques.

The van opens up for full access to a detailed interior — a kitchenette with a basin and coffee-making gear, bunk beds, and a crib — and the driver's cab has opening doors, hood, and a sunroof. It also comes with the usual camper accessories: a guitar, a coffee pot, and a baby's bottle.

The build

For example, the guitar piece is one of my favorite LEGO pieces. The fire build is simple and elegant. The moonroof, multiple swinging doors, and the interior attention to detail stand out. It's also very solid once built.

For a low-price set, this one is worth every penny.

Is the LEGO Holiday Camper Van worth it?
