How the BrickScore works

Every review carries a BrickScore — our overall verdict, backed by a breakdown across four areas: build quality, value, instructions, and design. Each is rated out of 10 so you can see exactly where a set shines and where it falls short, not just a single number.

Crucially, the BrickScore is graded relative to a set's intended audience, not against every set ever made. It wouldn't be fair to hold a 4+ set built for small hands and first builds to the same standard as an 18+ display piece with thousands of parts — they're trying to do completely different things. So a high-scoring preschool set means it's excellent for that audience, and a top-scoring adult set means it delivers on the expectations of a serious collector.

In other words, compare scores within a category — value picks against value picks, flagships against flagships — rather than assuming an 8/10 for a kids' set and an 8/10 for an expert set mean the same build experience.

Privacy you can trust

We think reading a review shouldn't cost you your privacy. BrickReport runs with no tracking cookies, no advertising or ad networks, no cross-site tracking, and no selling or sharing of your data. We don't build profiles on our readers, and there are no pop-ups or auto-playing ads cluttering the page.

To understand which reviews are useful, we rely only on simple, privacy-first analytics that count page views without cookies and without collecting anything that personally identifies you. That anonymous, aggregate view is all we ever see.
