Today's review is LEGO 40916 Floral Picture Frame, part of the Botanicals series, and a free gift-with-purchase in the March 2026 timeframe. This thing clocks in at 310 pieces across three bags. Rather than a set you buy off the shelf, it was added to your cart free when you spent over $150 at LEGO.com — much like the LEGO Insiders Sports Stadium, another LEGO freebie you can't just buy outright.

What you get in the box
The idea is simple and charming: you build a brick-built frame set in a little flower bed, then slot in a standard photo or postcard. It can stand either vertically or horizontally, and it's decorated with a mix of LEGO flowers — a daisy, rose, cineraria, delphinium, pussy willow, and camellia. If you have other Botanicals sets, you can even swap in extra blooms to customize the arrangement.
- Set number: 40916
- Theme: LEGO Botanicals
- Pieces: 310 (in three bags)
- Price: Free gift-with-purchase (roughly $22 on the secondary market)
- Age: 9+
- Minifigures: 0
- Released: March 2026
- Dimensions: ~15 cm high, 19 cm wide (displayed horizontally)

The build
It's not a tough build, which is exactly the point — kids will like it, and they'll love it in their room once it's done. The three bags go quickly, and the flowers are the fun part. The one caveat is that the finished frame is a little fragile, but for a decorative flower build that's expected.

Pros
- It was a free gift with a Lego.com purchase.
- Not a tough build. Kids will like it. And they will love it in their room.
Cons
- Fragile (but that is expected)
Is the LEGO Floral Picture Frame worth it?
It's a free gift — so if you got it, build it. I think it'd be a good set for a kid to build and use as a frame in their room, and the customizable flowers give it a bit of replay value beyond the initial build. As a GWP it's a nice little bonus, and it holds up well next to LEGO's other promo builds.
